For 15 years I wanted a dog. Not just any dog but a dog that I could cuddle with and have inside. I was so excited about getting married so I could get a little lap dog. Turns out my husband was allergic. Finally after 15 years of me pestering (or gently asking over and over) to have a dog he finally said for me to get one or drop it. I showed him a picture of a bulldog and he said that he had always wanted either an English bulldog or a Basset Hound. UM no to the Basset Hound. We though had NO idea that English Bulldogs cost so much. We prayed and prayed and I cried and stressed about finding a dog and then this sweet thing was put on Craigslist. She had been bred 4 times (the maximum amount that you can breed an EB) and then was not wanted. A couple took her but they traveled and worked a lot and also had 2 children and 2 other dogs. From the moment I saw her she was MY dog!
We have had this sweet Gumbo girl for almost a year. I can't imagine my life without her.....
